In the New Year sales I picked up a couple of shadows of a new brand to me. FaceFront cosmetics, I haven't ever seen any blog posts about this brand so I am not sure how well it is known but I thought they were worth a try while on sale.
I picked up two pressed shadows

Swatched dry no primer
So ok this is a bit odd....Light Source is a nice yellow, smooth and with medium pigmentation.
Capital Fuchsia makes me want to bang my head off a wall though, this is a heavy swatch I went over and over trying to get it to show up and this is what I got o.o
They are two different finishes here Light Source is a Pewter finish and Capital Fuchsia a matte. The matte is horrible it makes me sad! I am happy with Light Source but this is so random considering it has come from the same brand/line
I can't recommend the matte shades but I would suggest checking out the other finishes!

I hate when different finishes in a line perform wildly differently, how frustrating! I'm sorry you had this experience!

ReplyDeleteWow, Capital Fuchsia looks so terrible compared to Light Source. I wonder how it got past any sort of testing
